Our staff are based across our two sites in Yorkshire and Hertfordshire.
Henry Moore Institute, Leeds
Experience, study and enjoy sculpture from around the world in the centre of Leeds. Visit for a varied programme of free exhibitions and events, as well as our invaluable sculpture research library and archive of sculptors’ papers.
Staff based at the Institute focus on the wider fields of contemporary, historical and international sculpture.

Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire
The site of Henry Moore’s family home and estate in rural Hertfordshire. Across our gardens and fields we display Moore’s monumental sculptures, preserve his former studios spaces, and maintain the Henry Moore Archive.
From here, our Collections & Exhibitions team curate and preserve Moore’s legacy, and devise imaginative exhibitions of Moore’s work around the world.

Collections Coordinator
Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire
Full Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000-£33,000 + 12.5% pension contribution and other benefits
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an important collection care role in a leading arts organisation, within a friendly and team-focused culture.
The Collection Coordinator supports the Senior Curator of Collections and Research with the preservation and management of the Foundation’s extensive collections of artworks and archives, working closely with the Sculpture Conservator, the Head of Operations and Visitor Services, and their teams.
DBS clearance and verifiable references covering the last five consecutive years will be required, as this role will have Known Consignor status.
We are happy to consider some homeworking in this role.
Our ideal candidate will:
- have a relevant degree in an arts, humanities or conservation subject
- have demonstrable experience of managing large collections, ideally within an art organisation
- collaborate well with other departments
- be able to remain calm and focused whilst working under pressure to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to deadline
- have extensive experience of working with collection management systems (ideally TMS)
- have demonstrable knowledge of sector standards including Spectrum

Volunteering
Volunteering with one of our teams offers first-hand insight into the work of one of the world’s most notable sculptors, and the chance to experience the day-to-day operation of an international arts organisation. Our volunteers help us to continue Henry Moore’s mission to encourage public appreciation of the visual arts.
There are currently no vacancies for volunteers at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds.
Volunteer tour guides

We are currently looking for enthusiastic people to join our community of volunteer guides at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.
Volunteer Guides help bring Henry Moore’s work to life by guiding our educational and group visitors. Training is provided and benefits include free entry and tickets for friends as well as volunteer social events.
Volunteer gardeners
Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire
Recruiting volunteer gardeners to help maintain the sculpture gardens at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.
The gardens were designed by Moore and his wife Irina, they are predominantly rural in appearance and comprise approximately 70 acres of ponds, hedgerows, orchards, sheep fields, woodlands, lawns and a small kitchen garden.
