War, Art and Architecture: Henry Moore

A virtual talk by our Assistant Curator, Sylvia Cox, as part of the Ways of Seeing 2020 | War, Art and Architecture conference, organised by the Association for Art History in partnership with The National Gallery.

In this session Sylvia will look at Moore’s experiences during the First and Second World Wars. Drawing on images and correspondence from the Henry Moore Archive, she will explore how these experiences influenced his artistic output, from his famous ‘shelter drawings’ to his warrior sculptures of the post-war period.

Registration for this talk and all Ways of Seeing 2020 | War, Art and Architecture events is free. Book your place online via Eventbrite.
