Academic Open Day 2019

Clare O'Dowd

Each year we open our doors to celebrate the new academic year with behind the scenes tours for the higher education community.

An afternoon of tours and talks with Henry Moore Institute staff.

The Institute's annual Academic Open Day will include tours of our current exhibition, Edward Allington: Things Unsaid, an introduction to our wonderful Library which has over 27,000 books, including artists’ books and rare, out of print publications, and an advance insight into our forthcoming events programme.

If you are a tutor or a student with an interest in sculpture, this is the ideal introduction to the Institute and an opportunity to discuss with our staff how our resources and free events can enhance your work. In addition information will be available about our paid internship opportunities and even a free Henry Moore Institute exhibition catalogue for everyone attending.

The event will begin at 3pm with a full schedule of talks and tours from Henry Moore Institute curatorial staff.

The day will conclude at 6pm with a guest lecture by Michael Landy.
