Sculpture in the Landscape: Landscape in the Sculpture

Join Volunteer Guide Joanna Harling for this Art & Landscape themed tour.

“I would sooner have my sculptures surround by natural landscape if I could choose, rather than with man made architecture ”

Henry Moore

Hedgecoe, 1986

In this first talk of our series, Joanna will look at two sides of the Art & Landscape theme, exploring how Moore's work was influenced by the landscape and also how he, and Irina, shaped our landscape here in Perry Green. Joanna will guide you around our gardens, the Henry Moore Drawings exhibition and the studios exploring Moore's use of landscape as a metaphor in his artworks and highlighting his love of landscape as a setting for his work.

Art & Landscape tours are included in an admission ticket.
Tours will last around 60 to 90 minutes.
