Visiting the Archive of Sculptors' Papers

The Henry Moore Institute is now open.

Your visit

We're delighted to present two new exhibitions this autumn, Julia Crabtree and William Evans: Slip and Henry Moore: Configuration. You can also study in our Research Library and explore our Archive of Sculptors' Papers.

Booking tickets to visit our galleries is no longer necessary, though we advise groups of six or more book in advance to make sure there is space for you all to visit the galleries at the same time. You can still book in advance to visit the Sculpture Research Library if you want to ensure a space is available at the time of your choosing.

If you would like to plan a visit to the Archive, please browse the online catalogue and then contact our Archivist Errin Hussey to discuss the material you are interested in.

Opening hours

The Archive of Sculptors' Papers is free to visit and open to anyone who wishes to explore the collection.

The archive is open via prior appointment only, Tuesday to Friday, 10am-5pm. It is advisable to get in touch at least a month prior to your preferred date to visit.

The Institute is closed on bank holidays.

Using the Archive

The archive is free to use. When visiting for the first time you will need to complete a registration form and produce proof of your identity. The form includes our archive rules and by signing the form you accept these conditions.
