Re/Construct: Drawing, on the Natural Environment with Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck and The Gardening Drawing Club

This session is suitable for adults and young people aged 16+

Join Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck and The Gardening Drawing Club on a journey through the landscape. Immerse yourself in seeking, drawing, understanding, planting, collaging and binding along the way.

While our relationship with the natural world, including ourselves, might have degraded over the past decades, these creative and horticultural workshops believe in implementing joyful experiences to contribute to restoring damages and form more compassionate societal models.

The shared time in this workshop will begin with a walk in the outdoor spaces of Henry Moore’s Studios & Gardens. Here you will be invited to gather and discuss visual and sensorial inspiration from the landscape and the environment, a space which Henry Moore and Irina Radetsky, his wife, both shaped and were shaped by.

A first live drawing session will occur in the Kitchen Garden, before heading indoors to experience the tactility of planting organic radish and chard seeds with differing sizes and textures. From here you’ll continue to make artworks, using collage to layer textures with second hand-papers. The artworks created can be bound in to small individual booklets to take away along with your plants.

Adult: £15.50, Concessions: £14.15, Child (aged 16 or 17): £8.25
