The Landscape in Moore's Art

Join Volunteer Guide Meg Bryan for this themed tour looking at Henry Moore's relationship with the landscape throughout his career.

Meg's tour will start with how Moore's upbringing in the Yorkshire landscape coloured his early career and artistic development. She will look at how the contrasting landscapes of his home county and his adopted county of Hertfordshire figure in his work and finally, how the development of the studios and gardens in Perry Green enhanced his working life and sculptural practice.

Each of our Art & Landscape themed tours has been personally developed by the individual guide via Henry Moore Archive and independent research.

Art & Landscape tours are included in an admission ticket.
Tours will last around 60 to 90 minutes.
