Most Sat Nav systems will find us correctly with the post code SG10 6EE. Alternatively, please download our pdf driving directions or visit Google maps to plan your route. There are several brown heritage signs signposting the route from Much Hadham / Bishop's Stortford.

Road closures

On Sunday 10 July the main route to Studios & Gardens via the B1004 and Green Tye will be closed between 9am and 12pm for a charity 10K race. It will be possible to reach Studios & Gardens via Much Hadham and Bourne Lane. If you are visiting on 10 July, please visit Google maps to plan your route in advance. Our postcode is SG10 6EE.

Planned bridge closures at jct8 of the M11 have now been postponed until September. Please visit the National Highways website for more details.

We have free parking on site. When you arrive, please park in the main visitor car park (Chestnuts), which is located across the road from the visitor centre. If this car park is full, we have more parking available behind The Hoops Inn. There are disabled spaces in both car parks. Please display your Blue Badge when parking in a disabled bay.

By train

Our nearest station is Bishop’s Stortford: directly linked to London Liverpool St, Stansted Airport & Cambridge. The station is around 15 minutes away by taxi.

Harlow Town, on the same train line, is also close by: around 20-25 minutes by taxi. This station is ideal if you would like to combine a visit to Studios & Gardens with a tour of Harlow's extensive sculpture collection.

Find out about train times and tickets.

By bus

We are located in a rural area and there is no public transport to Perry Green.

The nearest bus service, the local 351 bus from Bishop’s Stortford and Hertford, stops in Much Hadham and the village is approximately 40 minutes on foot from Perry Green, along hilly country lanes with no pavements for pedestrians.

Please note that the 351 is not a frequent service and service times may vary during the school holidays. Google maps will recommend a public transport route which includes the 351 bus from St Margaret's Rail Station, we ask you to consider whether this is a practical route to take for your visit.

Find out about timetables for the 351 bus.

There is no bus service to Much Hadham from Stansted Airport.

On foot

There are a number of footpaths and walking routes which reach the Studios & Gardens. The Hertfordshire way passes close by, linking the village with Bishop’s Stortford. You can plan a walking route by visiting and putting in our post code SG10 6EE. Alternatively there is a well described circular route from Much Hadham described on the Bishop's Stortford and District Footpath Association website (printable version available).

By bicycle

The local area is popular with cyclists and Perry Green is a pleasant ride from local towns. Bicycles are permitted on off-peak trains from both London and Cambridge. Please download our driving directions or visit Google maps to plan your route. We have a small bicycle rack in our main visitor car park, across the road from the visitor centre.

If you have any questions about visiting us at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, please see our FAQs page. We welcome badged special assistance dogs, but please leave pet dogs at home as our car parks are very open with no shaded areas.
