Henry Moore Studios & Gardens
At Henry Moore’s former home in Hertfordshire, our Studios & Gardens are open to visitors each summer. The gardens showcase Moore's iconic sculptures in a beautiful setting.
On site you can explore over 70 acres of gardens and countryside, showing the artist’s iconic work against the landscape he shaped. You can also take a tour of the Moore family’s home and the beautiful gardens created by Irina Moore. The artist's studios give you the chance to see behind the scenes and appreciate how Moore’s sculptures – large and small – were created.

The Studios & Gardens are now open for 2017 with a new exhibition exploring Henry Moore's creative journey from promising schoolboy to one of the 20th century's most successful artists. Becoming Henry Moore traces the artists creative path and reveals the influences and inspirations behind his early works. Featuring rarely seen early Moore pieces and works by world famous artists - including Picasso, Modigliani, Hepworth, Michelangelo and Rembrandt - entrance to Becoming Henry Moore is included in your 2017 admission ticket.
Alongside the inspiring studios, exhibition and sculpture gardens, we have recently opened a new visitor centre. Here you can enjoy delicious refreshments in our new cafe or find art books and exclusive gifts in our shop. As well as being an inspirational day out for the whole family, your visit helps to support the wider work of the Henry Moore Foundation and preserve Moore’s own legacy. Henry Moore Studios & Gardens is also home to the Henry Moore Archive.
If you have any questions about visiting us at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, please see our FAQs page. We welcome badged special assistance dogs, but please leave pet dogs at home as our car parks are very open with no shaded areas.
