We look forward to welcoming our Friends and visitors safely back and thank you for your support.

Opening dates and times

Saturday 4 July – Sunday 1 November 2020
Wednesdays to Sundays and Bank Holidays, 11am – 5pm
Last admission: 4pm.

To protect our staff and visitors during the coronavirus outbreak, we will be unable to reopen some of our spaces. The following buildings will not be available to visit:

  • Hoglands: Henry Moore's family home
  • Etching Studio
  • Sheep Field Barn Gallery – our exhibition This Living Hand has been postponed until 2021.

Booking Tickets

We have introduced advance booking and timed ticketed entry, this will help us limit the number of guests on site, safely stagger entry to avoid queues and reduce contact as much as possible.

  • If you can, please book a ticket in advance for everyone who will be visiting, including Henry Moore Friends and children under 5.
  • Please do not book for a group of more than 6 people, unless part of the same household or support bubble.
  • Online booking for each day closes at 11pm on the previous evening.
  • We offer a 25% discount for National Art Pass holders. Please book in advance and bring your Art Pass with you when you visit.
  • Please arrive within your designated time-slot. You may arrive at any point within your timeslot and stay as long as you like within our opening hours.
  • If you haven't booked in advance, you can still visit. We will ask you to wait for the next available slot before entering. In busy periods, you may need to wait for some time. The 11am arrival slot is our busiest, so if you can arrive at 12pm or later, you are likely to be admitted without waiting.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email following your booking, please contact us using the "Make an enquiry" form on this page.

What to expect when you visit

We have implemented lots of new measures to make sure that visting is safe for everyone, this means that your visit may look quite different to usual.

  • We have changed the entry route to the studios & gardens, to help us manage any queues safely. After parking your vehicle, you will now enter our site via Hoglands driveway.
  • There will be a lot of new signs in place. Please follow the directions, social distancing indicators and queue systems.
  • Please wear a mask or face covering when inside any of our buildings.
  • Some staff will be wearing personal protective equipment.
  • We have introduced separate entry and exit doors to building wherever possible.
  • There will be a one-way route inside the Aisled Barn
  • We will be limiting visitor numbers inside all buildings.
  • Please do not meet up in groups of more than 6 people, unless all are members of the same household or support bubble.
  • Toilets will be open in several locations around the site, however the visitor centre facilities will be open for disabled visitors and baby changing only.
  • Please come prepared with contactless payment methods. We will ask you to pay via contactless card for any transaction under the £45 limit.

You can find more details about the measures we have put in place on our Coronavirus information or FAQs pages.

For our 2020 season our café will be serving a reduced menu to take away. To reduce congestion, we recommend that you pre-book your café food and drinks before you visit. Please visit the Copley’s Food website to place your order.

During your visit, your booked café order can be collected from the side entrance of the visitor centre – facing Hoglands house – allowing you to avoid entering the main café. Please follow the direction signs.

Once collected, you are welcome to consume your pre-ordered food and drink at the outdoor café tables or in our designated picnic areas.

You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink to the gardens. Designated picnic areas are available, these are frequently cleaned and sanitised.

Gift shop

Our gift shop will be open and is available on your exit route through the visitor centre. To allow visitors to shop safely, you may be asked to wait outside before entering the shop, please look out for the direction signs indicating where to queue.

While in the shop, our team will ask you to take a one-way route. Please observe the direction signs and social distancing within the  shop.
