Making an exhibition workshop

Fruit and Vegetables Exhibition
The workshop involved children working as a group, planning and making their own art exhibition.
A short tour of the works in the Foundation's grounds, was followed by a visit to our current exhibition, Henry Moore and the Challenge of Architecture. The hanging of works on paper, how the sculptures were organised within each gallery space, and the things needed to create a successful exhibition in general were discussed.
In the Aisled Barn, working in teams of eight, participants were asked to think of a theme and title for a new exhibition. Everyone then made miniature drawings, reliefs and sculptures and sited them in models of the Sheep Field Barn Gallery here at Perry Green. Some amazing exhibitions were proposed, ranging from Animals to Nature and Sports to Teenage Issues.
Finally, there was a photography session of each miniature exhibition, after which all the works of art were taken home by their creators.
