Observational Drawing Techniques
Beech Class

A student's life drawing
As well as being a sculptor, Henry Moore was also an excellent draughtsman and considered his work on paper to be a very important process. He used many different techniques and materials.
Beech Class drew a life model, their found objects and groupings of familiar objects such as fruit and vegetables, using a variety of materials and techniques. These included drawing an object from touch, over-drawing and Moore's 'wax resist' method.
