Nathaniel Mellors' work employs a number of approaches - theatrical, mechanical, musical and fictive, through both film-making and sculpture. Linear narratives are set-up and quickly dissolved, limits of comprehension tested and the use and significance of language stretched and broken. Mellors creates work which has a sense of chaos, fragility and pathos, punctuated by absurd and satirical humour.

Nathaniel Mellors was born in 1974 in Doncaster. He studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and the Royal College of Art. He has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally, with recent group or solo shows including the ICA (2011), The British Art Show 7 (2011), Tate Britain (2009), South London Gallery (2009), Stedelijk Museum CS, Amsterdam, (2008) and Lyon Biennial (2007).

This event is free of charge and open to all. It is not necessary to book, though seating is limited.
