The online archive catalogue allows you to search the records of the Henry Moore Institute Archive. These consist of records relating to the history of sculpture in Britain.

There is a published Guide to the Henry Moore Institute Archive, which is available to purchase online, and gives descriptions of our collections acquired up to the beginning of 2005.

The online archive catalogue mainly provides descriptions of collections as a whole (Collection Level Descriptions). In some cases more detailed descriptions are available and many more are being added.

Most archives are catalogued in a hierarchical structure, with a top-level record describing the whole collection, second level records covering specific groups of material (e.g. correspondence, photographs) and further levels providing more detail within those groups.

You may browse a list of collections or you can do a free text search (Any Text), which will locate a word or phrase appearing in any field, in any record at any level. However it is advisable to be as specific as possible or limit your search by date or additional search terms.
