Opening hours

We are open Monday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm, and Wednesday from 10am to 9pm. We are closed on bank holidays.

Guided tours

The Henry Moore Institute has a team of Information Assistants who are keen to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the works on display and who offer tours, as well as providing general information to any visitors to our galleries. The team is co-ordinated by Bruce Davies.

Tours by our Information Assistants will take place every Saturday at 2pm, and at 7.30pm every Wednesday. They will last approximately 45 minutes and are free. All are welcome. Please meet in Reception, there is no need to book.

We also provide free guided tours of our temporary exhibitions for educational, tourist and visitor groups. Tours are currently co-ordinated by Annie Bedford. To book a guided tour, please contact her via email guided-tours@henry-moore.org or call the Institute on 0113 246 7467.

Guided tour outlines are produced by the Information Assistants, and the material is tailored to meet the specific needs of each tour group.

Please note that the maximum number of people per tour group at any one time is 15. Larger groups will therefore need to be separated into two or more groups and the guided tours staggered to avoid congestion. A group leader must be appointed and take full responsibility for the group and stay with them throughout the tour (and that individuals in a school group are accompanied by their leader to the toilets/sick room who will administer First Aid if necessary). Please ensure that:

* Two adults/members of school staff accompany each school group.
* Pupils are briefed before their visit.
* The group leaders hold a group register.
* The group leaders ensure that students/visitors do not eat, drink, run, shout or touch exhibits in the galleries.

The person conducting your guided tour will escort you out of the building in the eventuality of the fire alarm sounding.
