This catalogue, divided into English and Italian language sections, also coincided with the installation for the Henry Moore Foundation Studio, entitled A Village and its Surroundings. Vittorio Messina is a visual poet, an assembler of unremarkable materials and familiar objects who adds to his experience of life with an anarchic wit to compose modern allegories of good and evil.  He is also a realist, but his stratagem is layered and oblique.
